​Originally formed in 2015, AP went through a long, hard road of lineup changes and life events that caused a lot of pitfalls, but they used these challenges as motivation to build something meaningful with their debut Album in 2020 - a socially aware brand of hard rock mixed with goth & metal influences.

In the years preceding the debut album AP gigged extensively around Sydney AUS, honing the sound, developing songs & polishing their LIVE presentation but the release of the album coincided with COVID, which put a hold on things gig wise, so AP took the opportunity to stretch themselves musically & cover some of favourite songs on TikTok/Youtube instead.

 

Reflecting on the first album as they started writing & recording a meaningful follow up 'Was it meant to be this way?' was released Digitally on Oct 6th 2023 - containing more of the AP hard rock sound with a more uptempo feel, commanding Riffs/Vocals & the occasional commercial leaning.

 

'After the Sun' - the 2nd single from the album reached No.2 on the AMRAP METRO Charts staying there for 3 weeks, followed by 'Bang Bang' & 'Super Hero' both enjoying 2 weeks in the Top 10.

 

Following the success of the Digital release, 'Was it meant to be this way?' was released on CD on 23rd Feb 2024.

 

Into 2026, with Dave Ben Lee still at the helm following Dahlias decision to dedicate time to other areas, Accidental President return with a new single 'Greedland' the first single from a forthcoming album planned for a late '26 release.
